The Freedom of Information Act

Under the Act, every Council must adopt and maintain a publication scheme. This scheme will provide our customers with a structured listing of the type of information the Council undertakes to make available to all.

If you are unable to find the information you require under our Publication Scheme, The Freedom of Information Act (2000) gives you the right make a direct request for the information.

How to Make a Request for the information

You do not have to pay to request information. We will not charge for information unless the disbursements incurred exceed £5. Photocopying will be charged at 3p per A4 sheet but no charge will be made for the first 175 sheets provided.

If your request is held by the Council in a form that is inaccessible to you because of a disability, we will provide the information in a different format free of charge. Charging and Complaints
