Current Consultations:

Meeting the future needs of older people

People are living longer and have higher expectations of maintaining an independent lifestyle well into their late seventies and eighties. The percentage of older people in our communities is increasing and the numbers of people living with dementia will double in the next 20 years. In Milton Keynes this means the number of people we will need to support could increase from about 5,000 to about 7500 within the next 5 years.
