Introduction
The Schools Business Continuity Response Group is a team of local authority officers committed to supporting schools in the event of a full pandemic or other major incident.
The group's purpose is to provide information that will help headteachers and governors to prepare for such an event. It will filter relevant advice and guidance from various agencies to schools to assist them to make decisions and manage any crisis situation themselves.
Remit of Flu Pandemic Website
This website is the main point of contact for schools about a flu pandemic. As it relates to a health issue, this website will act not only as the council's information site, but also as a landing point for schools to access information from external agencies to the Council.
