Our main aim is to support people to live as independent and as productive lives as possible within their own homes and families.

Adult Social Care

When we first arrange a service, where possible we will provide rehabilitation to help you regain your independence. We can provide, or arrange for others to provide, a wide range of services such as home care, equipment, carer support, day services, meals at home, supported living, and housing support. Where people are unable to remain safely at home or live within their families, we can advise and if necessary arrange residential care.

Children's Social care

The Council is committed to improving the lives of all children and families. Children's social care has a legal duty to make sure children are safe. Our approach to this is to provide effective family and parenting support to families where children are at risk, to help parents provide a secure and positive environment for their children.
